About

Emily Raubenheimer
Emily Raubenheimer

Emily Raubenheimer’s work explores the language of painting and the alchemical, physical and playful nature of paint. She is most interested in the ability of a mark to describe or obscure space, and many of her paintings are layered over previous works - creating a tactile history that can be read through the many layers. Central to her work is fluidity and spontaneity of form and line, as well as exuberant colour combinations. She studied Fine Arts Painting at Monash University and has taught Art for over 15 years.

Emily lives in rural Victoria and her work is a response to this wild space.

Emily is also Co-Founder of The Artists Guild – for women in the Arts.  From 2013 - 2017 Emily was creative director, designer and co-founder of Bubba West Magazine. Her designs are featured throughout the publication.

Emily is currently represented by Jumbled in NSW.
